Homeopathic Remedies for Iritis or Anterior Uveitis

What is Iritis?

Iritis, also known as anterior uveitis, is an inflammation of the iris.  An acute iritis can actually self-heal within a few weeks while chronic iritis can last in months or even years before the problem eventually goes away.  There is a potential risk of iritis leading to visual impairment. Causes of iritis can be due to some disorders or a trauma.

Symptoms of this eye condition can develop slowly compared to posterior uveitis where symptoms can develop speedily.  Consult a doctor immediately when you have this problem.

Symptoms of iritis includes blurred vision, copious watering and redness of the eyes, pain in the eyeball or the pupil becoming small and irregular in shape, motion sickness

The usual treatment from the doctor is in the form of medication pills or eye drops containing steroids for iritis.  It is more beneficial to go for safe and natural homeopathic remedies which dilates the pupil and avoid adhesion in order to treat iritis.
